Match Report: U12 Girls’ Netball Team

The ‘Year 7 Lionesses’ had their first North Shropshire Tournament at Ellesmere College this week. After only six weeks of training the girls were outstanding, they won 3 games and drew 2 in the group stage meaning they were the overall group winners and got through to the semi-finals! Notable wins were against Ellesmere College and Oswestry School. They worked so well as a team and there was some fantastic shooting from Amelia. Our most voted ‘player’s player’ from the other schools was Amber. Miss Edward’s ‘player of the tournament’ was Freya in Goal Defence who made lots of interceptions to get the ball back to the team.

Well done girls, a fantastic effort we are very proud.
