Sir John Talbot’s Pupils Enjoy Easter Ski Trip

During the Easter break, Sir John Talbot’s, Whitchurch pupils and staff were accompanied on a cross-trust ski trip in the French Alps with pupils and staff from The Marches School, Oswestry.

The conditions were fantastic for the 40 pupils and 5 staff with 4 days of fresh powder which were broken up by 2 days of sunshine.

The advanced group were incredible and skied everything that was put in front of them, often making a mockery of the staff through the trees and on the half pipe. The intermediate group skied a black run and even did a bit of off piste. The beginners groups were so determined and focused, 4 students moved up on day 2 and they all skied a red run by the end of the week, which was amazing.

A lot of fun was had in the evenings too, with all 45 staff and pupils going bum boarding, with some of the youngsters heading for the barriers.  Shoe showing went down well at the end of the week, visiting huskies and sliding down a hill on stomachs.

The pupils had an amazing time and staff have mentioned them being a credit to the school and to home.
