Please follow the link to see the accreditated 10K route with a full UKA licence (2017-28011). Starting and finishing at Sir John Talbot’s School, the course is mainly flat but we have incorporated some short, challenging hills just to keep you a little challenged! It is confined to roads within the boundaries of our historic Market Town. The Town centre, with its half-timbered buildings, bustling pubs and the imposing Georgian Grade 1 listed St Alkmund’s Church will form part of the course, where we hope the residents of the Town and visitors alike, will congregate to shout, cheer and encourage all runners. A copy of the course programme, will be given to all runners on race day together with their race number. There will be one water station on the course with additional water available to runners at the finish. Should the weather be particularly hot on the day, additional water stations may be added.
For information on sponsorship please open this link.
The 10K will be a timed race. Timing chips which are supplied on race day must be attached with 2 x twisted cables (supplied) to the laces on your trainers. Each chip will be registered to a participant so you must not change it with anybody else’s chip. All entrants times for 2017 event are available to view here.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to run the Whitchurch 10K for any reason please email firstname.lastname@example.org to notify us. Regrettably we are unable to accept late entries or race transfers prior to or on the day of the event. Running in someone else’s number will lead to disqualification from the race. Runners participating in the 10k must agree to abide by UKA regulations.
