Welcome to the webpage of the Sir John Talbot’s Whitchurch 10K Road Race, organised with our Charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support, who will benefit from a minimum of 50% of all race profits. We are grateful for the ongoing generous support provided to the school by Grocontinental, who are the headline race sponsors for this inaugural event.

As an inaugural event, we will encourage and welcome help from all quarters! Opportunities on the day exist for race marshalling, car park attending, sponsorship, advertising and much, much more! Please do not hesitate to contact us to see how together we can make this a very safe and successful event for our Town.

Registration closes 26th March 2017. To register for this race please click on the Regevent link here.

Please follow the link to see the accreditated 10K route with a full UKA licence (2017-28011). Starting and finishing at Sir John Talbot’s School, the course is mainly flat but we have incorporated some short, challenging hills just to keep you a little challenged! It is confined to roads within the boundaries of our historic Market Town. The Town centre, with its half-timbered buildings, bustling pubs and the imposing Georgian Grade 1 listed St Alkmund’s Church will form part of the course, where we hope the residents of the Town and visitors alike, will congregate to shout, cheer and encourage all runners. A copy of the course programme, will be given to all runners on race day together with their race number. There will be one water station on the course with additional water available to runners at the finish. Should the weather be particularly hot on the day, additional water stations may be added.
