Student donates hair to The Little Princess Trust

Well done to Year 9 student Ruby Forrester. Ruby decided to cut her extremely long hair and donate the lengths to The Little Princess Trust. The charity provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have hair loss as a result of various conditions or illness and also fund vital research into childhood cancers.

Ruby’s friends, family and the local community have really gotten behind Ruby resulting in her raising a fantastic £180 for the worthy cause. Ruby commented; “I looked up various charities and donating to The Little Princess Trust seemed a very worthwhile cause, I thought it would be nice to make girls going through illness feel a bit more confident”.

Ruby and her family would like to give a big thank you to all those who have generously donated and as a school we are very proud of Ruby.
