Whitchurch Community Mural Project
In collaboration with Argos, Whitchurch Town Council and Whitchurch Police, our art department was given a brief for students to draw a picture on how they see Whitchurch. Students from Years 7, 8 and 9 were selected to take part and eight drawings were submitted, with three final designs chosen by Sarah Chaloner, Chief Inspector, Nicki Young, Community Enablement Officer and Cllr. Peggy Mullock, School Governor. Drawings are now at Whitchurch Civic Centre, where there is a box for the community to vote for design one, two or three. The closing date for voting will be Sunday 30th April, with a chance for people to also vote on the Shropshire Cops Facebook page. Once the favourite design has been decided the students from SJT will paint it on the wall of the empty shop next to Argos.
