Year 10 student gains impressive placement opportunity

During Year 10, students are required to undertake a work experience placement, this provides them with an insight into the world of work, allows them to gain new skills and provides an opportunity to explore an industry which is of interest to them. Congratulations to Year 10 student Imogen Massey, who has gained a work placement opportunity with the West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust. Imogen who has aspirations of becoming a paramedic got in touch with the service and after informing them of her interests has been given the opportunity of a 5 day placement in June. The ambulance service, which is the second largest in the UK will provide Imogen with an insight into what the role involves and give her the chance to explore what will be required to pursue this career path. This is a fantastic achievement and we hope that Imogen has a great experience, she has a brilliant attitude and in her words will ‘take every opportunity she can’.
