Year 7 Gardening Club
The Year 7 Gardening Club at SJT have just seen their first batch of broad beans emerge on their plot behind the Science block. The club, who meet every lunchtime, have been cultivating the plants alongside beets, carrots and potatoes over the past few months, all of which will be edible. The students will be using their crops to promote a ‘green lifestyle’ and are looking forward to harvesting the vegetables as soon as they are ready. Their next challenge will be to successfully grow sunflowers on the plot.
