Year 7 RE trip to Birmingham
On Tuesday 8th November the whole of Year 7 travelled to Birmingham on two coaches to visit two very different religious buildings. The students were welcomed to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Smethwick and the Buddhist Peace Pagoda in Ladywood.
They looked at the different features of each building which will help the students with their studies on religious buildings and their forthcoming homework project for RE this term which is to make a model of a religious building.
While in the Gurdwara they were invited to sample some food and they enjoyed chapattis, lentil daal, ginger curry and rice pudding.
