Celebration Time! Sir John Talbot’s Sixth Form Students Shine Bright on A Level Results Day

There were huge smiles, high-fives, and even a few happy tears at Sir John Talbot’s School today as students collected their long-awaited A Level results.

Students have once again done themselves and the school proud, achieving a fantastic set of results that reflect their hard work, resilience, and commitment over the past two years.

From future scientists and engineers to artists, teachers and entrepreneurs, our sixth formers are heading off to exciting destinations including top universities, apprenticeships, and careers with many securing their first-choice pathways.

Headteacher, Tim Stonall said: “We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible group of young people. They’ve worked so hard, overcome challenges with determination and grace, and supported each other every step of the way. Today is a celebration of all they’ve achieved both in and out of the classroom.”

A special shout-out goes to students who achieved exceptional individual successes – whether through top grades, personal growth, or simply smashing their goals. Here are some notable achievements:

Amy Jackson > We’re incredibly proud of Amy, who has earned a place at the Durham University to study Anthropology. Amy’s A Level journey has been one of curiosity and hard work. This next chapter is a well deserved step towards an exciting future, and we can’t wait to see where it takes her.

Luke White-Culf > Congratulations to Luke who has earned a place at the University of Sheffield to study Physics. Luke’s determination and enthusiasm for science and maths throughout his time at Sir John Talbot’s School have led him to achieving fantastic A Level results which we are so proud of. We wish Luke the best of luck for the future.

Head of Sixth Form, Chelsea Lyons, added: “What makes Sir John Talbot’s Sixth Form special is the sense of community, care, and aspiration. Our students leave us not only with strong qualifications, but with confidence, ambition and a sense of purpose.”
