Silver DofE
The Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students had their first aid training last week, where they all passed the Royal Life Saving Award. The students learnt CPR, using a defibrillator and bandaging techniques.
Gold DofE
The Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students recently spent a weekend in Cynwyd Nr Corwen with a first aid instructor learning outdoor first aid. Having spent the morning in the classroom they then put their skills into practice outside on the hill. Shane the first aid instructor and Mr Sanders both acted as ‘bodies’ so the students could enact out different scenarios.
