On Friday 7th February, the U12 Girls’ Football Team travelled to Birmingham to play in the English Schools Football Fives West Midlands Area Finals.  The team put in some excellent performances which saw them progress through to the final where Sienna Wilson and Izzy Katihrob were both on the score sheet to secure a 2 – 0 victory. The girls’ have now made it through to the last 8 schools in the competition and will represent Sir John Talbot’s school in the National Finals on Monday 16th March.

On Wednesday 12th February, the U12 Girls’ Football Team went to Liverpool, to play against Sacred Heart Catholic College in Round 4 of the English School National Cup Competition. Another strong performance saw them secure their spot into Round 5, as they won convincingly 9 – 0 with the goals coming from Ella McRae (4), Sienna Wilson (2), Izzy Katihrob (2) and Millie Read.

This is a great achievement for the school and we wish them luck when they travel to Weatherhead High School on Thursday 27th February to play their Round 5 fixture.
