Religious Buildings Visits

Last Thursday, our Year 7 students visited a variety of different religious buildings across the Midlands and the North West. Students from each teaching group were divided into 5 groups, who each went to one of the religious buildings to hear and see first-hand about a different religion.

Trip venues included: Liverpool Cathedral, Al Rahma Mosque – Liverpool, Singers Hill Synagogue – Birmingham, Shree Krishna Mandir – Birmingham and Manchester Buddhist Centre.

Year 7 represented the school excellently; the tour guide at the Synagogue commented that they were the best behaved group he has ever had, and at the Cathedral they were praised for their confidence and insightful questioning. Students have now been tasked with presenting to their class about their visit, so that everyone hears about each of the religious buildings.
