STEM Challenge

Our Year 9 and 10 students have been busy taking part in the GreenPower F24 STEM Challenge. The competition provides an exciting opportunity for students to design, build and race a kit car of their own design. Over the last couple of weeks students have worked as a team to engineer the car and on Wednesday this week have collaboratively raced it around a circuit at Aintree Racecourse. The students came away from the event with an award – ‘Best Presented Team’. Students were not only judged on how smart they looked but also how well they conducted themselves. As a school, we are incredibly proud of them and thank the event for the opportunities the competition has a given them to increase their skills in Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering.
