Careers in Science Presentation

Vicki Ayton, Business Development Manager at University Centre Shrewsbury came into school earlier this week. Vicki spent time talking to Year 10 about her role at The Centre for Research into Environmental Science and Technology (CREST). She talked through a ‘day in the life’ of the team at CREST, explained her own role and also talked the group through various research projects that the centre is involved with.

The aim of the session was for the students to make the connection between how what they learn in the classroom links to the ‘real world’.

We would like to thank Vicki for visiting SJT and sharing her extensive knowledge. We hope that the presentation has opened the eyes of the students to possible career opportunities in the Science industry.
