How does the school communicate information to parents?
We communicate regularly and effectively by email using the “In Touch” system. We have found that this system allows parents and carers to receive information directly and reliably as well as giving parents and carers the opportunity to reply to communication. All communication is forwarded to the relevant member of staff and we welcome your thoughts, both positive and constructive. If a parent or carer wishes to make contact with a named member of staff by email, the main school website contains a link to do this. Your email will then be directed to the appropriate member of staff.
If you are not currently receiving emails from the school and would like to, please contact Miss Downward on 01948 660600 or email email@example.com
Where an email address is not provided, letters will be sent home via students.
Lots of useful information is posted on the school website including letters/emails, latest news stories, exam information, event details, term dates, Parents’ Evening dates etc. Please check the website regularly for updates and information. Paper copies of all information on the site are available and will be given free of charge.
In certain circumstances, we may contact you via phone/text (where a mobile number is provided).
If your child is absent from school please telephone 01948 660600 and select the pupils absence line to leave a message. It is important that you make contact with school each day your child is absent (unless prior arrangements have been made). If we have not received a reason for the absence, a text message will be sent to the mobile numbers held on our system asking for a reason.
How do parents contact the school?
For general enquiries from parents and members of the public, please contact Gail Winstone, either on 01948 660600 or via our web contact form.
If you are unsure about who you need to speak to or who may be able to assist you with your enquiry, please call 01948 660600 and the receptionist will direct your call to the appropriate person.
CONTACTING YOUR CHILD’S TUTOR
Your child’s tutor should be your first point of contact via the Pastoral Hub on 01948 660674 (apart from when you are reporting your child absent – please see notes above).
CONTACTING YOUR CHILD’S HEAD OF YEAR
Heads of Year may not always be available via the telephone during the school day, due to a full teaching timetable. If you wish to speak to your child’s Head of Year please contact the Pastoral Hub on 01948 660674 and your query will be passed onto the relevant person if they are not available at that time.
