Welcome to the webpage of the Sir John Talbot’s Whitchurch 10K road race. The Friends of Sir John Talbot’s School are grateful for the ongoing generous support provided to the school by Americold, who are the headline race sponsors for this event.
Our events have been hugely successful with nearly 1,000 runners taking to the streets of Whitchurch. Thank you to all of the supporters, volunteers and support staff for making this event so amazing.
Our next race will take place on Sunday 6th April 2025 and we are working in partnership with the 4 All Foundation.
Entries for the 2025 event are available here.
We are delighted to be working with Nifty Events again for the 2025 event.

Please follow the link to see the accredited 10K route with a full UKA licence. Starting and finishing at Sir John Talbot’s School, the course is mainly flat but we have incorporated some short, challenging hills just to keep you a little challenged! It is confined to roads within the boundaries of our historic Market Town. The Town centre, with its half-timbered buildings, bustling pubs and the imposing Georgian Grade 1 listed St Alkmund’s Church will form part of the course, where we hope the residents of the Town and visitors alike, will congregate to shout, cheer and encourage all runners. There will be one water station on the course with additional water available to runners at the finish. Should the weather be particularly hot on the day, additional water stations may be added.
