Sir John Talbot’s celebrate with Year 11 students

This year has been challenging across the school due to the impact of the pandemic. Staff and students have invested so much into the two-year GCSE courses and today’s outcomes reflect this hard work.

Sir John Talbot’s School is celebrating students being fairly rewarded with strong outcomes providing a strong foundation for their future.

The staff work closely with students to offer tailored support in order to ensure each and every student reaches their potential. The best results have been seen where there is an effective working relationship between the student, teacher and parents; they work together in order to ensure the student gets the best from their education and has resulted in those students exceeding their challenging targets.

Students have shown resilience this year to provide a strong foundation for their future. It is also exciting to see many students able to continue their studies into Sir John Talbot’s Sixth Form, where many will go on to study at top universities.

Our Year 11 students are a credit to the school and the community of Whitchurch. Parents have developed a strong working partnership, which has been key to so many students achieving their potential.

Head of School for Sir John Talbot’s Sixth Form, Tim Stonall added: “The results are a testament to the support from our specialist staff and the determination from our students particularly during the recent difficult times. We wish all of our students every future success and I am pleased we have been able to support many of them who have chosen to continue their education within our Sixth Form community.”

Applications for Sir John Talbot’s Sixth Form are still open for September 2020 start and details can be found on the website sirjohntalbots.co.uk.

The Open Evening will take place on 17th September 2020 which prospective parents and the community are invited to. Mr Stonall will showcase the school facilities and introduce the team that worked hard to make these results happen. More information can be found on our website sirjohntalbots.co.uk.
