Sir John Talbot’s School continues to celebrate excellent outcomes

Students at Sir John Talbot’s School are celebrating with their teachers as they are awarded outstanding and well-deserved GCSE results. As students returned to full examinations this year, the school has continued its high standards of achievement that were set before the pandemic.

Students have demonstrated dedication and determination throughout the last two years. Penny Brown Deputy Head commented that, “We are so proud of everything they have achieved.  It is a mark of the special relationships that are built in our school.  We always aim to work in partnership with students and their families.  This has been key to so many students achieving their potential.”

Headteacher Tim Stonall added, “Today is a time for celebration, not only for the strong outcomes that our students have achieved, but to recognise the maturity and determination they have shown over the past couple of years. Given the challenges of the pandemic, we have certainly lived up to our school’s vision of Achievement Through Caring.  We wish our students every success for the future, and it has been a privilege to support them on their journey.  They will always remain part of the Sir John Talbot’s community.”

Chelsea Lyons Head of Year 11 remarked “Well done to all our students. They are a credit to themselves and deserve all their success. I look forward to seeing many of them continuing their studies at our Sixth Form. We also wish the very best to our students entering the world of work, apprenticeships and further studies.  We are excited to see where everybody’s journey will continue and wish everyone every success for the future.”

Applications for Sir John Talbot’s Sixth Form are open for a September 2022 start and details can be found on our website.  We welcome applications from current and external students.

Our Open Evening will take place on 22nd September 2022 for prospective students and their families. Mr Stonall will showcase the school facilities and introduce the team that has worked hard to make these results happen. More information can be found on our website sirjohntalbots.co.uk.
