CareersFest: A Gateway to #RealWorldReady Futures

At Sir John Talbot’s School, the recent CareersFest event marked an exciting milestone in our students’ journey towards becoming #RealWorldReady. This event, which took place on Wednesday 18th October 2023, proved to be a massive success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of over 40 providers from diverse industries. Our students had the opportunity to explore a myriad of career possibilities and gain valuable insights into what it takes to thrive in the professional world.

From healthcare to engineering, finance, and beyond, our students had the chance to engage with professionals from various fields. These interactions allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of different career paths and the essential skills and qualifications required to succeed. It was a day filled with inspiration and discovery as our young minds began to envision their futures.

In addition to professionals from the workforce, representatives from various colleges and universities offering Higher Education and Further Education programmes were also present. They were there to answer questions, discuss the next steps in education and provide guidance on the academic paths our students might consider to achieve their aspirations.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the providers who dedicated their time to make this event a resounding success. Their involvement is a testament to their commitment to nurturing the next generation of professionals. We are also immensely proud of our students for their enthusiasm and active participation. We hope that the knowledge gained at our CareersFest has brought our young people one step closer to achieving their career goals.
