Staffordshire University Design Challenge

Year 12 Product Design students spent the day at Staffordshire University on Friday 18^th October with Mr Richards. They took part in a ‘Design Challenge Day’ against three other West Midlands Schools. The group were split into two teams and were given a design brief to create a new product. The Girl’s Team designed a watch and the Boy’s an electric car, they were supported by current 2nd year university students Aiden Holland and Lewis Wilson who are ex Sir John Talbot’s Design students.

The teams had to present their idea in front of 80 students, staff and lecturers! They ended the day with a tour of the Product Design Course facilities. An excellent day, which gave a real insight into the Product Design Degree Course offered by Staffordshire University.
